10-14-12 BRP With Brittany

Brittany and I headed out of Charlotte on what was supposed to be a pleasant day of 70 with sunshine. What we got was more clouds than sun but still about 65 even up in the mountains. We headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway for what was supposed to be the peak autumn foliage weekend with a stop in Blowing Rock for lunch. The little town was crowded with no parking, long restaurant lines and barely moving narrow streets. After lunch we headed to the Parkway and were disappointed as it seemed that the colors were long past peak. A lot of the trees were bare and the color wasn’t the greatest. Took batches of pictures for memories of a nice day with Brittany but the pictures were a disappointment. A few ok ones but boy did we miss the color
