Mike and I decided we needed a break from the routine and made a last minute decision to head for Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I really wanted a contrast snow picture of a pond along the parkway. Unfortunately the Parkway was closed. We headed for a back country road where we had snow we could really enjoy… There aren’t any pictures of us as the roadway was narrow and there was not a lot of space to get out of the car. Also the schools were closed along with more than half the businesses but we did find a nice comfy warm place to spend the night.
