Snow, sleet and rain arrived in the Carolinas on the 28th of January 2014. Mike and I decided to take a little bit of time and headed over to the beach area to capture the snow and ocean. It was cold and windy right at the water but not quite as bad inland a bit.
The driving actually wasn’t bad despite the ice on the beach roads layered over with a little snow. In fact for 1/2 the drive home we were the only fools on the road. (Good thing). Mike’s time living in Minneapolis and me born and raised in New England … it was a trifle inconvenient and nothing more.
We arrived safely home after being temporarily stuck in our car. The ice on the roads and the freezing temperatures with snow and sleet sealed our doors and we had to fight our way out of the car. Another memory of our trip.
